=== Cryptids and Conspiracies ===
=== Discovery of the Hidden Laboratory ===
* While discussing past experiences, Judy recounts a time she worked with scientists following a cryptid hunter, gathering useful intel despite the hunter’s wild theories.
* Inside '''Magrete Steel’s abandoned home''', Mia, Siz, and Det continue their search for clues.
* Tila, confused by the concept, proudly exclaims, '''"So, Bigfoot?"''' and seems amused by the conversation.
* Mia notices that the '''house’s layout''' doesn’t match, suggesting a hidden space near the fridge.
* Jace elaborates, explaining that cryptids are creatures with little or no physical proof of existence, likening them to conspiracy theories.
* Siz, inspecting the area, discovers a '''card slot mechanism''' built into the wall.
* The conversation shifts as Judy suggests they move on to the '''transport company''' to follow up on the missing delivery driver and stolen pump.
* After some discussion, Mia inserts the '''mysterious card''' she was given, triggering a mechanical '''click''' and revealing a concealed door.
* The discovery leads to questions: '''Who left the card for them? Was this all planned?'''

=== Meeting Charles Bouvier ===
=== The Secret Workspace ===
* The team arrives at '''Neumann, Inoue & Bouvier Ltd. Co.''', a small transport company operating out of a '''back alley office'''.
* Behind the door is a '''hidden laboratory''', containing:
* The building appears repurposed, designed originally for larger species, and has few visible employees.
  - Multiple '''workstations''' with scientific equipment.
* They are greeted by a '''large orc''' named '''Charles Bouvier''', dressed casually in workout gear.
  - A '''computer''', still powered on, requiring a password.
* Charles immediately assumes they are investigating the disappearance of his driver, '''Martin Baumgartner''', and offers them a seat.
  - Minimal paper documentation, aside from a '''notebook with sketches and notes'''.
  - A suspiciously loose '''floorboard''' in the corner.

=== Interrogation and Suspicion ===
* While Mia works to pry open the floorboard, Siz and Det begin searching for clues in the notebook and computer.
* Judy presses Charles for details about the attack and missing driver, noting that he is '''too well-trained at hiding the truth'''.
* Charles provides Martin’s '''address: Pickelhaubenstreet 62E'''.
* He also reveals that the three '''mystery suspects''' the team had been tracking were '''his employees''', sent to recover the lost shipment.
* Charles describes them vaguely:
  - '''A cheerful cook who eats everything'''
  - '''A tiefling with horns, who dislikes elves and finger-gunners'''
  - '''A woman who taps her chin a lot'''
* He provides their names on a written note.

=== The Mysterious Pump ===
=== Hidden Documents and System Access ===
* Charles admits that one item on the truck was '''extremely valuable''', but dodges specifics.
* Mia uncovers '''three folders of documents''' beneath the loose floorboard, which appear to contain complex '''technical schematics''' and '''research notes'''.
* Judy, suspecting he is withholding information, pushes further.
* Det, noticing something in the papers, finds what seems to be the '''computer’s login credentials'''.
* He finally claims the missing item was a '''fluid mechanics component''' with '''internal data storage''' and '''wireless programming capabilities''', making it highly advanced and expensive.
* Using the discovered login, Det gains access to the system and finds several oddly named folders:
* This aligns with the investigation’s earlier findings that the pump contained hidden data.
  - '''Do Not Touch'''
  - '''Important Later'''
  - '''Security System'''
  - '''Make the Computer Chime at People Program'''
* The last folder is particularly odd, as the computer seems to '''chime differently''' based on their actions, as if responding to them.

=== Tracking the Route ===
=== The Security Footage ===
* Jace and Judy request GPS data on Martin’s last known route.
* A prompt appears notifying them of '''unreviewed recordings'''.
* Charles provides Martin’s '''route history on a company tablet''', which they begin analyzing.
* Playing the footage, they see:
* However, he states that the three employees did not use a '''company vehicle''', suggesting they secured transport independently.
  - A group of '''six masked intruders''' approaching the house.
* Judy, sensing deception, suspects Charles '''knows more than he is admitting'''.
  - Lights turning on upstairs as '''Magrete Steel''' is identified by the system.
  - The intruders '''capturing Magrete''' and carrying her out of the house.
  - The footage ends with '''no further activity''', leaving her fate unknown.

=== A Foul Stench and a Hasty Exit ===
* Meanwhile, a '''terrible odor''' begins seeping into the hidden room, overwhelming Siz.
* Suspecting something rotting—possibly in the '''fridge'''—she urges the team to leave immediately.
* Mia agrees, stuffing the '''three document folders''' into her bag while Det removes the '''computer’s storage device'''.
* The computer chimes again—sounding almost '''displeased'''—as Det yanks out its power and rushes out of the house.

=== Next Steps ===
=== Escaping the House ===
* The team plans to:
* Mia retrieves the access card and secures the door, preventing anyone from easily following their tracks.
  - Analyze Martin’s '''GPS route data''' for unusual stops.
* As they leave, she calls an '''automated taxi''' to take them back to town.
  - Investigate the '''mystery trio''' who retrieved the package.
* The team decides to '''send the footage to Charles''' as soon as possible, hoping he can identify the kidnappers.
  - Determine who provided their '''non-company transport'''.
* With Magrete’s disappearance now confirmed as an '''abduction''', their investigation takes a new turn—'''who took her, and why?'''
  - Verify if the pump was intentionally used for '''industrial espionage''' or if another motive is at play.
