• The team is still in their hotel room, analyzing the mysterious playing card given to Siz.
• Det attempts a technomantic reading, using her abilities to scan the card for information.

 - She receives cryptic impressions: a library, a woman’s voice, and a physical address.
 - The card appears to act as an anchor for something unknown.

• Mia examines the card's hardware, looking for any connection ports or signals.

 - The card has a tiny RF chip embedded inside, but no external connectors.
 - A wireless connection could access the chip’s data without damaging the card.

Siz’s Scientific Excitement

• Siz becomes overly enthusiastic about Det’s magic abilities.

 - She speculates wildly about genetic mutations and magical inheritance.
 - Excitedly, she pulls out a phlebotomy kit and begs for a sample from Det.
 - Det, overwhelmed, agrees to a sample after they finish analyzing the card.

 - Before that, there is a three-year gap with no location records.
 - It had been outside the star system for ten years before that.

• Det cross-references the data but finds no mention of Magrete Steel.
• Mia believes the card is connected to a larger mystery and suggests visiting the library sooner rather than later.

Deciding What to Tell Den & Charles

• The team debates whether to inform Den and Charles about the card.

 - Mia and Siz agree to withhold information about the card.
 - They decide to only report the presence of the strange elf who has been following them.

• Siz calls Den and gives a vague update:

 - "We might have a tail. Some weird person. Mia thinks he's a weird leather elf, but he might have some disguise skills."
 - Den, skeptical, responds: "So, some 'weird leather elf' is following you, huh? And he's probably in disguise too."
